Survey and Quotation
Every project starts with a site visit. The visit is used to measure the area, check levels, access and the existing surface, and a written quotation follows it.
What happens on the visit
We attend the property at an agreed time and walk the area with you. The ground is measured, the finished level is discussed, and the way the space is used is talked through, so that the quotation describes work that matches the property rather than an assumed layout.
What is checked while we are there
Levels are taken against the building and the surrounding ground. The existing surface is identified and its condition noted. Access is assessed, including where a machine or a delivery would need to reach and where excavated material would be taken out.
Any obvious drainage point, manhole or service cover is noted, as these affect how the ground layer is built and where falls can be taken.
The written quotation
After the visit a written quotation is prepared. It sets out the work proposed, the surface area measured on site, the finish tier selected and the price per square metre that applies. Pricing is given as a range within the tier, with the position in that range depending on the conditions found on site.
Nothing is ordered online, and no work is booked through the website. The quotation is the point at which the work is agreed.
